I know most of you will agree with me that we are living in such unfamiliar and uncertain times. As we navigate this time of social distancing for COVID-19, I want to help document the certain: that WE as a SOCCER FAMILY are all in this together! At the same time, I want to also give back to those in need in our soccer community at AFU. I want to capture the good that exists even though we are feeling uncertain & isolated from our community. My goal is to capture the moment in a photograph that documents & celebrates this time of togetherness with your family.
Boston-area photographer Cara Soulia spearheaded the project writing on Facebook, "These days are challenging for every single one of us. Even if we are separated, we are together." Can I get an AMEN? Since then, more than 300 photographers around the world have replicated #thefrontstepsproject. I am teaming up with Atlanta Fire United Soccer Club to raise money for financial aid through The Front Steps Project (soccer-family style!) and can’t wait to share my love of photography with you and hopefully bring us all a little closer.
I am offering to take five minute 'Front Step Portraits’ of AFU soccer families. After your session, I will email you the digital file of your portrait. In exchange, I am asking you to make a good faith donation Atlanta Fire United through this GoFundMe Campaign. We will be posting these images on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #thefrontstepsproject and #thefrontstepsprojectafufamily#afustrong #afufamily #atlantafireunited
Photos will be taken outside ONLY and from at least 10 feet away. The session will be very brief, most likely under 5 minutes. Please note that this is NOT your typical get-dressed-up-for-photos type session. You can wear WHATEVER you like and pets are welcome! Just come as you are and be you!
Please contact Jessica Lesz with Atlanta Fire United at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Once you have signed up for a session, we will be in touch within a few days to schedule your session.
